Though commonly associated with the Hawaiian Islands, plumeria are not native to Hawaiʻi. The first plumeria cultivated in Hawaiʻi was a yellow flower, but today there are thousands of varieties representing a vast array of color combinations. Plumeria lei has become an iconic lei of Hawaiʻi, known for its full-bodied look, bright colors, and sweet fragrance.
